Russia’s Foreign Ministry has ridiculed Canada’s proposal to send troops to Ukraine. Spokeswoman Maria Zakharova questioned who would defend Canada if the US expanded north. She sarcastically suggested that Ukrainian draft dodgers in Canada might be their best bet for protection. The mockery follows Canadian PM Justin Trudeau’s statement that his country is open to a military mission in Ukraine.
