In an appearance on the Diary of a CEO podcast, the British singer candidly discussed the toll fame took on him, admitting, “It was a really severe problem.” Payne recounted how seeing unflattering photos of himself became a turning point, leading him to confront his struggles with alcohol and drug addiction. Tragically, Payne passed away on October 16 after falling from the balcony of his hotel room in Argentina.
