Tragic: Boat with several students capsizes in Harni Lake near Vadodara

In a tragic incident, several students drowned after a boat capsized in Harni Lake near Vadodara. According to sources, at least 14 students and two teachers were killed after the boat carrying 34 capsized. More than 10 children have been rescued so far. Rescue operation for others on the boat is still going on. PM Modi expressed grief over the incident and announced a compensation of Rs 2 lakh to the next of kin of each deceased."Distressed by the loss of lives due to a boat capsizing at the Harni lake in Vadodara. My thoughts are with the bereaved families in this hour of grief. May the injured recover soon. The local administration is providing all possible assistance to those affected," PMO said.
