Bihar CM & JD(U) leader Nitish Kumar addresses the public on the occasion of the birth anniversary of former Bihar CM Karpoori Thakur in Patna and said that he congratulates the present government for conferring Bihar former CM Karpoori Thakur with Bharat Ratna. Bihar CM also targeted previous governments including Congress for not announcing Bharat Ratna for the social justice crusader of the state. Addressing the rally, Nitish Kumar said, "Jan Nayak Karpoori Thakur has been conferred with 'Bharat Ratna'. We had been demanding 'Bharat Ratna' for him since 2007 till 2023 from every government including the previous Congress govt and the present govt. But they had not done so. Now, they gave him a 'Bharat Ratna'. I congratulate the PM & Central govt for accepting our demand."
