NDMA Member Lieutenant General (Retired) Syed Ata Hasnain praised PM Narendra Modi and the PMO for the safe rescue of 41 trapped workers in Uttarakhand's Silkyara tunnel. 'India has achieved tremendous accomplishments under the leadership of PM Narendra Modi. The PMO led the rescue efforts on the ground, and the PM personally spoke to the trapped workers. This is a significant achievement for both the PM and the PMO. The NDRF and other wings worked together, serving as a testament to India's unity and resilience,' he added. 'A lot of people may perceive that the lives of the 41 workers are inconsequential. However, India respects even the last person who comes out,' he said."
