My duty is to ensure autonomy of universities: Kerala Governor Arif Mohammed Khan

Kerala Governor Arif Mohammed Khan said that the supreme court has said that the state government has no role in appointment of vice chancellors in universities. "Most of the Kerala universities do not have a regular vice chancellor. This will further weaken our higher education system", he said. He further said that he had no choice but to appoint acting vice chancellors. He says that the people of Kerala will decide who is responsible for bringing down the higher education system in Kerala.
