All About Baloch Liberation Army Rebels Behind Train Hijacking In Pakistan

Separatist militant group the Baloch Liberation Army (BLA) claimed that they had taken hostages during an attack on a train carrying hundreds of people, including paramilitary troops, in southwestern Pakistan on Tuesday and threatened to kill them. Global Hunger Index: Opposition slams Smriti Irani, terms her remark as 'insensitive'

Union Minister Smriti Irani is facing criticism from the Opposition for her assertion that the Global Hunger Index (GHI) is determined by selecting a small group from a population of 1.4 billion and inquiring if they are hungry. A video of her address went viral on social media. Opposition leaders strongly condemned Irani's remarks, with Supriya Shrinate of the Congress highlighting Smriti Irani's statement as "insensitive and ill-informed." Shrinate asked Irani to not “make a mockery of hunger”. She posted her reaction on X. India's placement at 111th out of 125 nations in the 2023 Global Hunger Index was dismissed by the government as flawed and potentially malicious. The index, unveiled on Thursday, also highlighted that India has the world's highest child-wasting rate, standing at 18.7%, indicating severe undernourishment.
