Amid onion price rise, congress chief Kharge targets Modi government as reports suggest further price hike

A sudden surge in onion prices is causing concern among Indian consumers as rates have doubled across Delhi-NCR and are expected to keep rising until December. Reports indicate that onion prices could reach Rs 100/kg during the first week of November. In response to the escalating prices, Congress president Mallikarjun Kharge criticized the Modi government, sharing a cartoon on his social media account with a Hindi caption. Kharge stated, "For the past 9.5 years, BJP has been mocking public outcry against rising inflation and high prices." He went on to say, "Every time on the issue of inflation, the Modi government has made fun of people in this way."
