Watch: Tamil actor Vishal's explosive bribery claims against CBFC rock film industry; former chief backs Vishal

Tamil actor and producer Vishal has revealed disturbing corruption allegations concerning the Central Bureau of Film Certification, Mumbai office. Actor said that he paid a bribe of ₹6.5 lakh to get a censor certificate from the CBFC before the release of his film 'Mark Antony' s Hindi version. He also said he has all the proof to back his claims. Mark Antony released on September 15 to a good response and the Hindi version released in theatres on September 28. Addressing his message to CBFC Chief Prasoon Joshi, Vishal urged a more comprehensive investigation into these matters. He also appealed to PM Narendra Modi and Maharashtra Chief Minister Eknath Shinde to promptly address this issue. He emphasized that his film was not explicit but rather a movie that had already received certification in all four South Indian languages. Vishal fully recognized the potential consequences of his actions, yet he underscored the utmost importance of exposing the dark shadows of corruption within the CBFC.
