Akshay Kumar’s upcoming film ‘OMG 2’ which is a sequel to his 2012-hit film ‘OMG- Oh My God!’ will be hitting the big screens on August 11. Ahead of the film’s release, an interesting story about how the film’s script was finalised has surfaced on the internet. According to reports, the ‘Khiladi’ actor locked the final script of the film when he was on a hospital bed battling COVID-19. That’s right! Last year, Akshay was reportedly hospitalised due to the deadly virus for the second time, which is when he was offered the script of ‘OMG 2’. Reports further stated that Akshay had silently admitted himself to a Mumbai hospital to ensure his family’s safety, and he was having the final discussions on the script via video calls. That’s when the script of this much-anticipated film was locked. Meanwhile, ‘OMG 2’ was recently given a U/A certificate by the Central Board Of Film Certification for its ‘slightly contrvoersial’ subject and religious content. Not just that, the CBFC also asked the makers to chop off 20 scenes from the film. Recently, the board also asked the makers to change the name of Akshay’s character which is seemingly of Lord Shiva. The film will see Akshay Kumar and Pankaj Tripathi playing the lead characters. For more news and updates, stay tuned to ETimes.
