World Environment Day: Campuses in Kerala to be declared waste-free on June 05

Kerala Minister for Higher Education Dr R Bindu on June 02 informed that all college and university campuses in the state will be declared zero-waste on June 5, World Environment Day. While talking to the media, Dr R Bindu said, “The declaration, as part of Waste-Free Kerala, not only aimed at making campuses waste-and-litter-free but also send the message of waste-free public spaces through awareness activities. Students would be roped in as brand ambassadors of Waste-free Kerala. With the help of NCC and NSS volunteers and in tie-up with local body institutions, students will do house visits and make society aware of waste management.”
