T.N. Minister Senthil Balaji's arrest: K. Annamalai urges CM Stalin to check his own previous statements on Senthil Balaji

Tamil Nadu BJP president K. Annamalai refutes claims of political motivation in the arrest of Minister V. Senthilbalaji. He asserts that Chief Minister M.K. Stalin had previously made similar allegations against Senthilbalaji, and now the Minister has been arrested for those very allegations. Annamalai suggests that Stalin should refer to his own past statements regarding the corruption allegations. In 2016, Stalin accused Senthilbalaji, who served as Transport Minister from 2011 to 2015 in the AIADMK government. According to Annamalai, the arrest of Senthilbalaji followed the orders of the Supreme Court, which criticized attempts to weaken the case against him. The Enforcement Directorate (ED) has been granted permission to continue their investigation. Annamalai also addresses his allusory remarks about Jayalalithaa's conviction in a corruption case, clarifying that he was only highlighting the factual events and expressing his high regard for Jayalalithaa on multiple occasions. He stresses that he never intended to defame her.
