Amazon upbeat on India growth story to invest $15 billion over next 7 years will create 20 lakh jobs

Amazon CEO Andy Jassy has announced plans to invest an additional $15 billion in India over the next seven years.This will take Amazon’s total investment in India to $26 billion. Jassy met PM Narendra Modi in Washington DC during the latter’s state visit to the US. The two discussed supporting Indian start-ups and creating jobs, among other initiatives. Amazon has pledged to digitise 10 million small businesses and create two million jobs by 2030. The company says it will also enable $20 billion in exports in the next 7 years.
