'Rethink decision of immersing medals in Ganga': Deepender Hooda tells wrestlers

Speaking on Indian wrestlers reaching Uttarakhand’s Haridwar to immerse their all medals including Olympic medals in the river Ganga, Congress leader Deepender S Hooda on May 30 said that these medals have not been received by the wrestlers from BJP MP Brij Bhushan Sharan Singh, however, from due diligence and hard work, hence, he appealed the female Indian wrestlers to think over their decision once again. He said, “The entire nation feels sad on hearing such news from the Indian wrestlers. After this announcement, I am a bit emotional. Hence, I want to appeal to our female Indian wrestlers to think over their decision once again as they did not receive the medals because of BJP MP Brij Bhushan Sharan Singh. They earned the medals after a lot of hard work. These medals are the pride of our Nation.”
