Hailing the decisions taken by the Assam government against child marriage, NCPCR Chairman Priyank Kanoongo on February 10 said that action taken by the Assam government against child marriages should be followed by other states as well. “Assam government is constituting a panel to frame the policy to rehabilitate child marriage victims is a welcome step,” said Priyank Kanoongo.
