Nagaland polls: Voter turnout around 83.63%, says Chief Electoral Officer

Chief Electoral Officer of Nagaland V Shashank Shekhar said on Monday that there was around 83.63% voter turnout in the assembly polls held today. "But is still a very tentative figure", he added. He said that this was the data given by the returning officers from 59 constituencies out of 60. Shekhar in a press conference told reporters that there were 2291 polling stations and the average number of electors per polling stations were 566. He also told 387 polling stations were managed by women officials and 3 by PWD. "...and live webcasting was done in 1647 polling booths", he added.
