After the Haryana government claimed that there is more stubble burning in Punjab than in Haryana, Punjab Minister Lal Chand Kataruchak said that cases of stubble burning have decreased in Punjab for this year. He suggested that ministers of Punjab, Delhi and Haryana should discuss together to find a solution to the issue. "The issue of pollution is not restricted to just one state, it is an issue of entire north India. This will cause more problems in the days to come. As far as Punjab is concerned, the cases of stubble burning have gone down this year. We have been appealing to the farmers in the state again and again to not burn stubble...As far as Haryana and Delhi are concerned, we should not speak of boundaries. Everyone is a citizen of this country. So, in order to protect them from pollution and provide them with a clean environment, we should sit together and find a solution," said Lal Chand Kataruchak. Haryana government on October 27 released images that they claim is from NASA which shows that there are more than double stubbing burning incidents in Punjab as compared to Haryana on October 25 and 26.
