Ingredients
For idli - 1/2 Cup samolina (Rawa / Sooji)
1/2 Cup curd
1/2 Cup water
1 Cup fruit salt
1/4 Tbs soda bi carbonate
5-6 Curry leaves
1Tbs Cashewnuts
2-3 Dry red chili
1 Tbs musturd seeds
Salt to taste
For sambar-
1/2 Cup harhar ki dal ( Toor dal)
2 Inion choped
Cournflower 100Gm
2 Brinjals Choped
1 Cup pumpkin choped
1Drum stick (Sanjine ki phali)
Tomatoes choped
For tempering
2 Cup tamarind ( Imli paste)
1 Tbs chili powder
1 Tbs turmeric powder
2 Tbs oil
1 Tbs mustured seeds
6-7 Curry leaves
3-4 Dry red chili
2 Tbs sabar powder
a pinch of asafoetida (Heeng)
6 Cup water
Method for idli
Mix all the above ingredients to make a thick batter .
pour in greased nicrowave safe idli moulds and microwave covered @100% power of 5-6 Minutes .
Sreve with coconut chutney and sambar ,
Method for sambar
Wash and siak dal for 15-20Minutes. Add 6 Cup of water . Soaked dal salt and turmeric powder .
Microwave in a microwave safe bowl @100% power for 15-20 minutes
Standing time of 5 Minutes is given
In a microwave safe add oil , musturd seeds ,curry leaves, red chili,asafoetida (Heeng) and choped onion. Microwave at 100% Power for three minutes.
Add choped vegetable and 1Cup water . Microvave covered at 100% power for 7-8 minutes . Mix these cooked vegetable with the cooked dal.
Add sambar powder and tamarind paste . Microwave covered at 80% Power for5Minutes .Serve hot with dosa ,idli, vada.
